It's a moving day at Augusta National, and we've got a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard.
Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau shared a 6-under lead for the week at the Masters on Saturday. It was two shots ahead of the other courses. DeChambeau, who moved up a major mark during his second round, finished 18th on Friday and landed in the top group.
However, Scheffler wasted no time in starting his round. He birdied the first man to immediately retake the solo lead in the group ahead of Dzambaev and Homa.
But when they returned, Scheffler slipped up with a double bogey at the 10th. That paved the way for Nikolaj Hjgaard – playing in his first Masters – to grab the solo lead after he made three straight birdies. However, others soon caught up with him. At some point, there was a five-way tie first. When they all slipped away, it was Colin Morikawa who survived to take the solo lead at the back.
Tiger Woods is a way back, but he's playing on the weekend. Woods made a record 24th appearance at the Masters on Friday, breaking a tie with Gary Blair and Fred. He is 1 over for the week. However, Woods' round began to fall apart as he made the turn, and he again posted two bogeys. He made the turn at 7-over that day, marking his worst score of nine in his Masters career. He then finished with a 10-over 82, his worst round at Augusta National.
