Although the new AirPods Pro with USB-C charging case is classified as the second-generation AirPods Pro, the earbuds have some other new features.
A Press release Apple announced today that the updated second-generation AirPods Pro will support 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio with ultra-low latency when the earbuds pair with Apple’s new Vision Pro headset in early 2024.
“When Apple Vision Pro becomes available in the US early next year, customers will be able to enjoy the industry’s most advanced wireless audio experience with the new AirPods Pro, for exceptional entertainment, gaming, FaceTime calls and more,” he said. Apple.
Apple also said that the updated AirPods Pro have additional IP54-rated dust resistance for both the earbuds and the charging case.
Improved AirPods Pro You can order from today for $249, and will be available in stores starting Friday, September 22. Apple doesn’t sell the USB-C charging case separately, and it has bundled the AirPods Pro with a Lightning case. The standard third-generation AirPods and AirPods Max are not updated today.
