Hollywood mourns the loss of a soap opera star.
“General Hospital“Alum Tyler Christopher died On Oct. 31 at age 50, her former costar Maurice Benard shared Instagram. According to Benart, the cause of Christopher’s death was related to suddenness Heart problem.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher,” the post began. “Tyler passed away this morning at his San Diego apartment following a cardiac event.”
Benard said Christopher, who played Nicholas Cassadine on the show from 1996 to 2016, was a “sweet soul and a wonderful friend” to everyone he met, along with his Sonny Corinthos.
“Tyler was a truly talented individual who lit up the screen in every scene he played and delighted his loyal fans with his performances,” Benard shared in his tribute. “Tyler advocated for better mental health and substance abuse treatment, and he spoke openly about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcoholism. We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and are praying for his children and his father.”

Christopher won by one day Amy For Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for “General Hospital” in 2016.
In addition to his work on the ABC medical drama, he starred alongside Stephen DiMera in “Days of our livesFrom 2001 to 2019, he also appeared in “Thor: God of Thunder,” “Shouting Secrets,” “Out of the Black” and “Pretty Broken.”
But outside of his career in entertainment, Christopher’s favorite role is dad.

She continued, “There are no words to express my gratitude for the way they tell me about their day after school dinner. I’ve never enjoyed a trip to Target for a toy or an afternoon of movies. Her children are already following in her footsteps, with daughter Boehme Christopher dancing in a production of “The Nutcracker” and son Grayson Christopher performing in last year’s production of “Matilda.”
