Fantasy Football Week 3 Breakdown: Who’s In and Who’s Out?

Who should start? Who should sit? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid starting an offensive player who isn’t in that lineup, we’ll be posting fantasy updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactive lists. Any rankings quoted in this column come from our ESPN Fantasy staff rankings.

Official Sunday blackouts begin approximately 90 minutes prior to scheduled kickoff times: 11:30 am ET for early games and 2:30 pm ET for afternoon games.

Update often for latest information.

games at 1 p.m. ET

Keenan Allen, WR, CHI: heel — outside
Impact: Rome Odunze (knee) is not on the injury report, so he and DJ Moore should see plenty of targets.

Travis Homer, RB, CHI: finger — Out/IR
Impact: Khalil Herbert is now in the mix with D’Andre Swift and Roseanne Johnson.

David Njoku, TE, CLE: ankle — outside
Impact: Jordan Akins will be the starter, but the Browns may skip the TE position in their game plan.

Pierre Strong Jr., RB, CLE: Thigh Thigh — outside
Impact: D’Onta Foreman, at least, will get all the RB workload behind Jerome Ford.

Jordan Love, QB, GB: knee — questionable
Impact: Ambiguity coming out of Green Bay points to another week for Malik Willis.

Joe Mixon, RB, HOU: ankle — out
Impact: Game Acres will start for Texans …

Damien Pierce, RB, HOU: Thigh Thigh — outside
Impact: … Has some passing looks by Dare Ogunbowale.

Michael Pittman Jr., WR, IND: Then — questionable
Impact: Although he did not practice on Friday, reports suggest he will be fit on Sunday.

Justin Herbert, QB, LAC: ankle — questionable
Impact: He’s a game-time call, but no one would be surprised to see Taylor Heinicke or Easton stick under center.

Joshua Palmer, WR, LAC: Elbow — questionable
Impact: No training all week? Shaky QB situation? Go somewhere else.

Jordan Addison, WR, MIN: ankle — out
Impact: Justin Jefferson (quad) is fine. Jalen Naylor is a lock-in WR2 for the Vikings.

AJ Brown, WR, PHI: Thigh Thigh — out
Impact: This makes Devonta Smith and … Britton Covey the top WR options for the Eagles.

Russell Wilson, QB, PIT: Calf — questionable
Impact: Justin Fields as QB1 and Wilson as emergency QB3 can’t be expected, even though Wilson says he’s getting close.

Michael Pruitt, Tea, Pit: knee — outside
Impact: Maybe it will affect RB Najee Harris?

Tyjay Spears, RB, TEN: ankle — questionable
Impact: Expected to play. Tony Pollard’s workload can begin to eat well.

Graham Cano, K, NYG: Thigh Thigh — outside
IMPACT: Kick Joseph and Jude McAdamney battle it out to see who will take over the kicking duties this week.

Daysum Hill, TE, No: chest — Suspicious
Impact: He took some practice this week, and while Hill often plays through injuries, it looks like we’ll see Foster Morrow with an uptick in usage.

4pm ET games

Greg Dortch, WR, ARI: Thigh Thigh — questionable
Impact: He was placed on the injury report late in the week but is expected to play. If he can’t go, Michael Wilson and Xavier Weaver are behind Marvin Harrison Jr. in the WR target tree.

John Stephens Jr., TE, DAL: Thigh Thigh — questionable
Impact: Meanwhile, Jake Ferguson has been removed from the injury report and will handle TE1 duties for Dallas.

Isaiah Williams, WR, DET: Stomach — questionable
Impact: Amon-Ra St. Brown (quad) is good to go, so Williams isn’t a factor.

Davis Allen, TE, LAR: Then — out
Impact: Colby Parkinson has less competition for passing targets in this depleted Rams offense.

Joshua Carty, K, LAR: hips — questionable
Impact: Who hasn’t been affected by the Rams? Tanner Brown will kick Cardi if he can’t.

Cooper Kupp, WR, LAR: ankle — outside
Impact: Gupp avoided joining Puka Nacua on IR, but he’s unlikely to play for a few more weeks. DeMarcus Robinson leads a motley crew of WR options.

Raheem Mostert, RB, MIA: chest — Suspicious
Impact: Jeff Wilson Jr. could get some looks behind De’Von Achan.

Malik Washington, WR, MIA: quad — Suspicious
Impact: Braxton Berrios is active as Miami’s WR3 for at least another week.

Kenneth Walker III, RB, SEA: inclined — Suspicious
Impact: This is Zac Charbonnet all the way.

Barrow Brown, TE, Sea: leg — questionable
Impact: Noah Fant (toe) is not at 100%, but he will be a great TE option.

Deepoe Samuel Sr., WR, SF: Calf — outside
Impact: Javon Jennings will start behind Brandon Iuck.

George Kittle, TE, SF: Thigh Thigh — out
Impact: Eric Chabert will replace him in the huddle, but he shouldn’t be anywhere near your fantasy scenarios.

Sunday night game

Isiah Pacheco, RB, KC: leg — Out/IR
Impact: Keonte Ingram was promoted from the practice squad. Carson Steele and Samaje Perine will both part ways. Newly signed Kareem Hunt was not ready.
