Microsoft has quietly launched a dedicated Copilot app for Android. A new app is available Google Play Store, provides access to Microsoft's AI-powered Copilot without the need for a Bing mobile app. Discovered by Neo'sCopilot has been available on Android for almost a week, but the iOS version is not yet available.
Microsoft's CoPilot app on Android is similar to ChatGPT with access to chatbot capabilities, image creation with DALL-E 3, and the ability to create text for emails and documents. It also includes free access to OpenAI's latest GPT-4 model, which you have to pay for if you use ChatGPT.
The launch of the Copilot app for Android comes a month after Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat as Copilot. Microsoft first introduced its AI push to its Bing search engine earlier this year, integrating a ChatGPT-like interface into search results. Launching a mobile app for Copilot seems like the next logical step to expand this complete Copilot experience, especially since Bing Chat Enterprise has been rebranded as Copilot. While there's no sign of an iOS version of Copilot right now, I expect it to be right around the corner.
