April 13 (Reuters) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived in Manhattan to testify before New York Attorney General Letitia James, he said in a post on his social media site Truth Social on Thursday.
James Filed A civil suit for fraud was filed last September in New York state court in Manhattan against Trump and his three adult children. Trump also sued James after he filed that lawsuit.
In March, Trump asked the court to delay the case by six months, saying the extension would give him the time needed to review the “shocking” amount of material, including millions of pages of documents, and to question dozens of witnesses. .
“…I can finally show you a great, profitable and valuable company that I’ve built with some of the largest real estate assets anywhere in the world,” Trump said in another Truth social post on Thursday.
Trump, who is seeking re-election in 2024, was indicted earlier this month by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.
He was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records before the 2016 election after he allegedly paid two women to suppress disclosure of sexual encounters with him.
