The Minnesota Vikings fell from the NFL’s undefeated streak, and the Los Angeles Rams are considering trading their top receiver since Cooper Kupp is expected to play for the first time since Week 2. A lot can change in four days.
The Detroit Lions are the first team to beat the 5-1 Vikings this year, 31-29 in a shootout in Minneapolis on Sunday. The Vikings rolled up nearly 150 rushing yards in that game — 93 of them and a touchdown to Aaron Jones — and they’ll hit the rock a few more this week against a Rams defense that ranks 30th in the league (and Aaron Donald didn’t walk through that door).
The Rams can look to the future, as the team is reportedly shopping Kupp on the trade market. They are reportedly looking for a second-round pick in return and are willing to retain a portion of his salary for this season. Kupp sat out Week 2 with an ankle injury for the 2-4 Rams, but coach Sean McVay expects him to be available for Thursday night’s game against Minnesota.
